Writing Resources
I put this page together to share the resources that I have personally found to be the most helpful both for improving my writing and for attempting to publish. Though I myself am not yet published, I try to learn from authors whose work and styles I really admire. Overtime I'll update this page with more resources, but for now I'm going to share the authors (and their resources) that I take the most inspiration from. While you're checking them out, please also check out their books! These are all really talented writers who have really inspired me, and I'd love if their work blew up more as well.

Susan Dennard's Resources Page (Susan Dennard is a New York Times bestselling author, responsible both for the Something Strange and Deadly series and the Witchlands series. I've found her resource list to be really the most comprehensive guide among the authors I'm listing here, and I highly recommend every link she shared.)

Rebecca F. Kuang's Resources Page (R.F. Kuang is the author of The Poppy War trilogy, which I've reading recently and am really into. What I find the most compelling about her resource list is that she's a relatively new and young author - she's like 25 or so, and is refreshingly blunt about the process. I highly recommend her for new authors. She's also great for Asian authors looking to break into the genre, as she's the first to make such an Asian-centric story and see this much success so quickly. Her resources are also better than Susan's for BIPOC authors.)

Brandon Sanderson's Writing Lectures (It's no secret that I'm a HUGE fan of Brandon Sanderson. I credit his Stormlight Archive series with reinvigorating my love of the fantasy genre after years of apathy and writer's block. I'd say learning from him has been the most instrumental and important of all the resources I've consumed on my journey toward trying to publish. I highly recommend these lectures, recorded from his class at Brigham Young University.)

Tale Foundry (This isn't so much an author as it is a YouTube channel that has a lot of cool stuff. It has tips for writers, but it's more than that. It also has a lot of cool short stories, some original and some cultivated from other places, as well as videos with magic system ideas, setting ideas, and more. REALLY great for inspiration.)
